dusty new memories in the corner center

I fought the internal
external battle years ago

I trained my mind
body to endure harsh emotional climates

I practiced how to show love
hate to my suspicious neighbors

there were burning wounds deep in my flesh
spirit that needed to be washed

I wasn’t quite able to take my mind off
on a new level of awareness

which wasn’t quite right
wrong for the experience I had already accumulated

“you’re just a confused monotheist
dualist” said the fat sweating professor
