ant acid

antface.jpg

Mirror mirror

on the wall,

on the floor.

We are the giants

with reflecting

superbrains,

we admire our souls

in space before us.

The gnarly Greek myth

smirks over time,

we can’t stop gazing

Cookie Monster-eyed.

Below,

dirt root abode,

crowded tunnels,

greasy feelers,

nervous limbs,

one small puddle.

Ants snatch water

and pause briefly,

take in the reflection.
