Mia’s Page

January 11, 2007

Mia, my eight-year old daughter, has taken to poetry herself.  Her poems are amazing to me, and I think it’s safe to say that she will be producing better poetry than her father by age fifteen or so.  She’s such a little nut.  I like to think of her style as “adolescent surrealism.”

Now. . .  the poems of Mia Misener!!!!!!!

NEW MIA POEM! added February 19, 2007:  “My Helmet”

“My Helmet”

Look at this large
helmet I yell
I put it on
and who turned
the lights out?

“Musterd”

I have a caveman
I saw a man
with a tan and
now I have
just musterd

“Have You Seen My White Bunny?”

I have a white
bunny it went under
the gas pump. I turn
then turn right back
now I see a brown bunny.
